Choral Act of Praise

On Palm Sunday, March 29th, the Senior Choir will present a cantata entitled,  “Amazing Grace My Chains are Gone.”. The full cantata will be offered to the Lord and for our inspiration at the11:15 am service. Several selections from the cantata will also be offered at the 8:45 am service. Be sure to invite a friend as we retell the story of Jesus’ amazing sacrifice of love.

Our Senior Choir leads us in song and praise at our 11:15 worship service each Sunday from September through May. If you have been thinking about joining the church choir which sings at late service, Thursday evening would be a great time to start. We practice in the church sanctuary from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM each Thursday. We have fun praising the Lord in voice and blend in any voice for His glory. Come join us, no experience required. All are welcome!

The Senior Choir is planning an Easter Cantata this year. Anyone who would like to participate is free to join us on Thursdays at 7 pm. Practices will last about an hour (the last couple may be longer). You do not have to know how to read music, just the desire to praise God in song. The first practice is tonight at 7 pm--just an overview--if you are not able to make tonight, but would like to participate--just let me know. The cantata shall be performed on Palm Sunday, April 13, 2014 during the 11:15 am service.

The regular choir practice will continue immediately following the cantata practice. It extends until 9:30 pm. We can always use some new voices!

Our Praise Team is comprised of dedicated Christians of all ages who share their musical abilities and gifts of praise. Practices are Mondays at 6 PM to 7:30 PM. The Praise Band performs every Sunday in the early service.

Our Praise Team currently consists of 6 adults and 3 youth who come together to praise God. Most of the music we cover is from Paul Baloche, Casting Crowns, Hillsong, Kutless, Mercy Me and Third Day, but we are open to suggestions. We play every Sunday at the 8:45 service. Our group tends to be fluid; right now we have 1 full time guitarist, 1 part time guitarist and 1 part time drummer. We are currently looking to add to our musicians, if you or anyone you know is interested in playing bass or drums. All we ask is that you love God, profess Jesus as your Savior, have some experience and can practice on Monday evenings. Questions or comments? karenj@crosskeyschurch.org
