General Information:

Administrative Board...

This is the 'nuts and bolts' organization of the church. The Board acts on recommendations from all church committees, work areas, and organizations. The Board is the main decision making body of the church.

Education...

Our church school offers Christian education classes every September through May on Sunday mornings from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. There are classes for everyone from the age of 4 to 104. The Sunday School also sponsors an annual Christmas program and a week-long Vacation Bible School in the summer.

Worship...

Our Worship Committee members serve as Greeters and Ushers, prepare the sanctuary for worship and help design both our contemporary and traditional services. They sponsor events throughout the year including our annual Advent Dinner and Good Friday Service which brings those in attendance closer to God. The Committee is open to new ways to make worship more pleasing to God and meaningful to people.

Music/Drama Ministries...

Our Senior Choir leads us in song and praise at our 11:15 worship service each Sunday. Rehearsals are Thursday evenings at 7:30 P.M. All are welcome.

Our Praise Band is comprised of dedicated Christians of all ages who share their musical abilities and gifts of praise.

Youth Ministries...

The United Methodist Youth Fellowship (UMYF) gets together to explore the concerns of youth through the teachings of Jesus Christ. Its a Christian centered service/fellowship organization that is open to all youth in 5th through 12th grade with adult Christian leadership. The youth help plan their own activities, mission projects and retreats. They also make time for fun things such as bowling, swimming, and holiday parties.

Christian Care Ministry...

The Christian Care Ministry is committed to reaching those in need in a loving Christian way. This ministry involves sending cards, visits, and phone calls to shut-ins and those in need of a spiritual lift.

Missions...

Our Missions Program provides an opportunity for the church to participate in both local and global outreaches of the United Methodist Church. We have provided funds for an airplane ministry in Arizona, international missionaries, and we support the Camden Neighborhood Center. We have also sent members of our church to Russia to do repair work on an Orphanage. Every third Sunday is designated as Missions Sunday.

Nurture...

The Nurture Committee is dedicated to the spiritual well-being of the church and to outreach into the community. The Nurture Committee is comprised of 4 distinct areas. The welcoming of newcomers, the care of members, overseeing the Lay Shepherding program, and Family Ministries. The goal of the committee is to realize a steady growth of the Church while maintaining the close knit community of a small church. We believe in sharing the "Good News" of Jesus Christ with the whole world.

Prayer...

Our church members understand the power of prayer and it's affect on spiritual and physical healing. We have an active E-mail Prayer Chain which keeps Church members connected to one another as well as a weekly Prayer Service, Wednesdays at 7:00 P.M.

Bible Studies...

We offer Bible Studies to fit your needs and schedule. Small Groups and Lay Shepherding groups meet regularly. Discipleship Bible Studies are also offered periodically.

And For The Fun Of It...

The Family Ministries sponsors several special events each year including the annual Phillies Fireworks outing, a Hayride every October, and a church picnic every summer. On the first Saturday in August, the church holds its annual Chicken and Corn Cookout in which we work together to raise extra funds for special projects and church needs.

The Children's Garden...

The Children's Garden is a Christian pre-school whose mission is to introduce children to God's love and provide the spiritual tools to do God's will. Call 728-4535 for information concerning enrollment.

Mission Statement...

Cross Keys United Methodist Church is a welcoming Christian community, committed to living and sharing God's word and expressing Christ's love through care, outreach, worship, fellowship, and missions.
