Welcome Pastor Jaime

Advent 2016 brought us the celebration of Jesus’s coming and also the coming of our new youth pastor, Pastor Jaime Frazier! As we welcomed her on December 4, we learned that Pastor Jamie loves Skittles (not green ones), loves the Eagles (sorry all you Giant’s fans), and that she want to learn how to ride a two wheeler!  If you’re not sure what that’s all about just come to youth group and find out.  Pastor Jaime will focus on establishing a relational ministry with our junior and senior high youth, equipping them to be witnesses for Christ in the world.  We thank God for the generous gift that helped us cast a vision for expanded youth ministry and for leading Pastor Jaime to us.  Keep Pastor Jaime in your prayers as together we answer God’s call to reach more children, youth and adults with the life-changing hope of Jesus Christ.

Prayers Answered!

After more than a year in prayer and deliberation, the Administrative Council of the Cross Keys United Methodist Church issued a pastoral call on November 5 to Jaime L. Frazier to serve as our part-time youth pastor.  Pastor Jaime accepted the call and will begin active service in our midst on Sunday, December 4th.  Ms. Frazier has her Bachelor of Arts in Theology from Immaculata University (2010) and is currently a second year student at The Lutheran Theological Seminary of Philadelphia.  She is a candidate for a Masters of Art in Religion, with a concentration of Pastoral Care.  Pastor Jaime also expects to receive a certificate in youth ministry from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg in December.  She believes her true calling is to work in youth ministry and has served in a volunteer capacity at her home church, The Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Haddonfield, since 2011.  Under her care Jaime grew the program from no youth ministry to a vibrant ministry of committed youth actively involved in regular meetings, Bible study and community service events.  Pastor Jaime just completed an internship at a Lutheran church in Tabernacle with a focus on building their youthministry.  Pastor Jaime will focus on establishing a relational ministry with our junior and senior high youth, equipping them to be witnesses for Christ in the world.  We thank God for the generous gift that helped us cast a vision for expanded youth ministry and for leading Pastor Jaime to us.  Be sure to greet Pastor Jaime each Sunday with a hearty Cross Keys welcome and with your ongoing prayer and support.

“It was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists,

and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.”
